A non-profit hospice caring for our Southeast Coastal Georgia community.

At Hospice of the Golden Isles (HGI), we understand what matters.

For over 30 years, we have provided the highest quality, compassionate care to patients and families living in Glynn, Camden, McIntosh, Charlton and Brantley counties.

When you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, that’s the time to consider hospice care.  The special care that hospice provides is a holistic care - of the mind, body and spirit – that allows patients to live life to the fullest.  The earlier hospice care is provided, the better the quality of life will be for your loved one.  In fact, hospice patients often live longer because they are receiving specialized end of life care.  At Hospice of the Golden Isles, our medical team is led by highly-regarded Dr. Shaner, who is double-board certified in internal and hospice & palliative medicine, ensuring that our hospice patients get the best medical care possible and feel better.

Offered in your home, assisted living facility, senior nursing facility or hospital, hospice staff and volunteers provide caregivers with the support they need to care for their loved ones.  If a higher level of care is needed, Hospice of the Golden Isles offers inpatient care in a warm and beautiful setting where families can continue to engage with loved ones as if they were at home.

From the CEO, Karen Brubaker, to the highly qualified professionals who care for patients, one thing is certain:  every member of the Hospice of the Golden Isles family shares their heart and soul with patients. We ensure that the goals of the patient and family are met in a loving environment, and we hold that goal dear.

At the heart of our hospice care is the belief that each of us has the right to live out our journey with grace and dignity, free from pain. Our caring team approaches patient care in a way that addresses many needs, including the highest quality medical care and palliative care, to manage pain.  We offer emotional and spiritual support tailored to your needs and wishes.

Our caregivers gently guide you and your family through your journey, helping with the decisions that matter most. We offer you and your loved ones the support and practical assistance that allows you to enjoy your time together.

Throughout the hospice care experience, we provide comprehensive bereavement offerings for the patient and family to help alleviate stress and worry, and provide the highest level of bereavement care for all who need and want it in our Golden Isles community.

If you need support or advice, call us at 912.265.4735, and one of our caring staff will be happy to listen and guide you.
