In-Patient Care

The Robinson Center for Caring also known as ‘Hospice House’ is a 12-bed private room facility featuring beautiful decor and all the amenities of home. A highly specialized nursing staff provides skilled care 24 hours per day, 7 day per week with the support of certified hospice aides, chaplains, and social workers. Family and friends are able to visit 24 hours per day and spend the night if they desire. Patients come to the Robinson Center for acute pain and symptom management, respite care for caregivers for a limited number of days, and assessment and evaluation of medication management.

Patients admitted into the Robinson Center remain there as long as they are eligible for an in-patient level of care. Most people have a hospice benefit either through Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance.  The hospice benefit pays for all services associated with care for the hospice diagnosis, whether the care the patient receives is at home or in-patient.  Patients pay for their medications that are unrelated to their hospice diagnosis and for room and board if they are at the Jolley House, assisted living, or long term care facility.

No one is ever denied hospice care because of their inability to pay or lack of insurance coverage.  Social workers can assist with Medicaid applications or admission to long term care when requested by the family.
