Hospice of the Golden Isles provides professional interdisciplinary service to terminally-ill patients and their families including:
- Medical Management - by the hospice medical director.
- Nurses – Available 24 hours per day, 7-days per week, to assist patient and family members with pain and symptom management, education and medication consultation.
- Social Workers – Providing counseling, referrals and assistance with financial and legal concerns, and emotional support for patient and family.
- Chaplains – Providing spiritual support and counseling for patient and family and coordination with area clergy as requested.
- Volunteers – Providing assistance and relief to patients and families with companionship, or assistance to staff with administrative support.
- Bereavement – Providing grief support through education, bereavement support groups, individual and family counseling.
- Medical Equipment – Durable medical equipment as needed.
- Prescription Drugs – Medications related to the patient’s hospice diagnosis.
