Accepting Applications For:

Housekeeper (PRN) - Housekeeper on a PRN (as needed) basis to complement our facility management team. Responsibilities are to ensure and provide a sanitary and safe facility promoting the well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff. Maintain good rapport with all, maintain all cleaning services required for the Hospice House. Includes removing trash, dusting, vacuuming, washing surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, refrigerators, cleaning equipment, mopping floors and sweeping, etc. Observes policies and procedures for safety and storage of cleaning materials and solutions under Direction of the Lead Housekeeper. The position requires HS education or equivalent with 1-2 years of commercial housekeeping, preferably in health care. Knowledge of safety and Hazmat labeling. Requires understanding of health hazard prevention methods. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and physical work, such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling, operating cleaning equipment. Requires good interpersonal relationship skills. Must have valid driver's license and required auto insurance. Requires successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.

On-site Medical Coder and Billing Specialist - ICD-10 - Hospice of the Golden Isles has an opportunity for an experienced medical coder, with ICD-10, and billing specialist.  Requires formal medical coding work through an accredited college/training program in medical administration.  1-2 years of coding and billing work experience in Hospice and Palliative care desired.  Certification in Professional Coding desired but not required.  Familiarity with Azalea Health system or similar coding systems, and CareAnywhere - Brightree or similar EMR systems.  The position is flexible in terms or part-time or full-time hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.  The position is an onsite job - HGI is not seeking a remote coding arrangement.

Cook (PRN) - Responsible for preparing meals according to approved menus.  Ensure federal and state regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and safe environment for the storage, preparation and handling of food.  Collaborate effectively with staff concerning special patient needs, wants, enriching the quality of care for patients.  Purchase food and supplies, maintain inventory.  Wash dishes and keep kitchen clean.  Will work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.  Requires HS education or equivalent with 1-2 years of commercial food preparation experience.  Knowledge of regulations for commercial kitchens.  Prior commercial kitchen experience preferably in health care.  Requires current driver's license, clear motor vehicle record.  Requires manual dexterity for kitchen tools and equipment and ability to move, lift and push goods weighing up to 50 lbs.  Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching overhead/below and working in varying kitchen temperatures.

Certified Nursing Assistant - C.N.A. (Full-time and PRN) - Job opportunities available at Hospice of the Golden Isles. One Full-time position is inpatient care - requires 12 hour shifts 3X per week - nights. Two PRN positions: 1 field team days and 1 inpatient (day/night hours). Responsible for personal care needs of patients and related tasks; must possess a current license to practice as a CNA in the State of Georgia and maintain a current CPR certification.  Requires ability to lift 50 lbs and perform CNA duties directed by the LPN/RN.  Must possess a valid driver's license and required liability coverage.  Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
