Hospice is not a place, but rather a type of care. Hospice care is different from other types of healthcare because its focus is on providing comfort rather curing an illness.
If you have been told that you have a limited life expectancy of six months or less, you may qualify for hospice care. Hospice care is holistic care, focused on treating the mind, body and spirit so that the last months of a patient’s life can be rich and meaningful.
Our hospice care is delivered by a team of expertly trained, highly compassionate individuals including physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, volunteers, chaplains and bereavement coordinators. Hospice provides care for the patient and support for the family.
